• Work on the game design is ongoing – numerous online and live meetings in the environmental, spatial and social sub-teams, as well as in a large team – we are looking for and analyzing possible algorithms that transform information about environmental conditions and changes in exposure to climate change through the use of various solutions – mainly the so-called solutions based on nature – i.e. what a rain garden or a large tree will change in the estate – we have over 40 such solutions.
  • 2nd meeting of the consortium – Kociszewo near Warsaw, 9-11/12. The meeting at the SGGW conference center in Kociszewo was attended by 18 people, including 2 from Norway and 16 from Poland. The meeting was a workshop. During the design workshops, we worked on the final version of the algorithms for all nature-based solutions used in the game. At the same time, we discuss the layout and content of the game.
  • We are submitting an application to the NCBiR to join our team of a scientist from Ukraine who deals with the production of energy in biogas plants from organic waste – we will check to what extent such a technology would work in Polish and Ukrainian housing estates as an element mitigating climate change – activities related to reducing greenhouse gas emissions .
  • We are looking for housing estates in Warsaw to test the game. We operate in two ways, using our experience in research that we have been conducting for many years in the city of Warsaw, including: in the field of green infrastructure and environmental analyses, as well as using the good knowledge of city officials in the field of not only exposure to climate change, but also the social conditions of housing estates. The first field visits are taking place – although it is difficult to work outside the growing season.
  • The second meeting with city officials of the capital city of Warsaw allows us to establish a list of pre-selected 18 housing estates that we will analyze – ultimately, there will be 6 of them for testing.
